Lula — Weekly Status, Week of 2026-06-01
From: Gemma Period: 2026-05-30 to 2026-06-05
Executive Summary
A LuMi-heavy week on the build side, and a strong organic recovery on the maintenance-software cluster on the measurement side.
Most of the week went into LuMi brand architecture. The LuMi hub and overview page was created at /maintenance-intelligence, answering Nate's question about building a page around the LuMi concept; two rounds of Nate's feedback were applied to the /lumi intake landing; the LuMi announcement article was revised to the approved May positioning; and the Lula section of the top maintenance-software listicle was reworked around LuMi. The services story was consolidated into a single /services page (Core and Core Boost merged, no tiers, customer language). The Source7 partnership announcement article went live alongside the partner's press release, and a competitive-response article, Best AI Property Management Software in 2026, was drafted and is ready for editing after Nate flagged a competitor's sudden organic surge on AI-property-management queries. On Make-Ready, Spoke 4 was drafted and is in editing, and the PM-partner PDF is drafted and designed with the prospect list now at 87 verified property managers.
The measurement headline: the 2026-06-03 listicle edit produced genuine organic gains and pulled Lula into Google's AI Overview on several head terms. Organic improvements landed on property maintenance system (14 to 6) and make ready service (7 to 3), while the listicle and the make-ready service page are now cited inside the Google AI Overview on property maintenance software programs, property maintenance work order software, and make ready services near me. The AI Overview citations are an answer-engine win, not organic blue-link positions, so Lula will not yet appear in the standard top-of-page results on those terms.
Wins This Week
LuMi Brand Architecture
- LuMi hub and overview page created at
/maintenance-intelligence. This answers Nate's question about a page focused on the LuMi concept. The URL decision is hub-and-spoke: the hub owns the concept and the head terms ("Lula Maintenance Intelligence," "LuMi," "AI for property maintenance") and routes to each experience, while/lumistays as the intake spoke and Foresight pages are spokes. The page was restructured from a repetitive "one thing in many places" loop into a narrative arc, with a bento layout that fixes the link asymmetry between the experiences. Build on Nate's go-ahead. /lumiintake landing: two rounds of Nate feedback applied. The hero was re-angled to lead with "LuMi sets every work order up to succeed," the language was simplified ("smart logic" rather than "branching logic"), the solution icons were unified, a data-credibility band replaced the customer-name social proof pending name permissions, and two real mockup images were built to replace placeholders. Still flagged for Nate: a real hero animation, live screenshots, and customer-name permissions.- LuMi announcement article revised to the approved positioning. Reworked against the May 2026 LuMi Positioning Brief so LuMi leads as Lula Maintenance Intelligence and intake is framed as how it shows up. Added the approved data-credibility block (7 years, 500K+ work orders, 50+ markets) and approved proof points (70 percent fewer re-calls, 9,000+ Pros, 3.8-day turnaround), and removed an inaccurate one-trip-resolution claim. Holds for the launch go/no-go; the handle-rate figure and the customer references still need Nate's confirmation before publish.
- Positioning accuracy pass. Removed the unsupported "80 percent one-trip resolution" stat (a third-party industry benchmark, not Lula's own rate) from every draft that cited it as a Lula proof point, and aligned naming to LuMi across drafts.
Services Consolidation
/servicespage copy drafted. Core and Core Boost are merged into one page that describes the maintenance service overall, with no contract-level or tier breakdown. The "Core" name stays internal; the page speaks in customer language (the Lula Pro Network plus LuMi) with no published pricing. Plan is for/coreand/core-boostto 301 into/services. Pending Nate review.
Make-Ready Cluster
- Listicle Lula section reworked around LuMi 2026-06-03. Surgical on-page edits to
/articles/best-property-management-maintenance-software, the cluster's top organic workhorse, to firm up rankings after recent mixed tracking signals. The Lula entry now centers LuMi as the AI layer running maintenance coordination end to end, with Foresight positioned for in-house teams. Section sent to Nate for review. Measurement window 2026-07-03. - Make-Ready Spoke 4 (vs Apartment Turnover) drafted and in editing. Distinguishes the apartment-turnover lifecycle from the make-ready subset: a quick-answer summary, a side-by-side comparison, the ten-stage turnover process, the KPIs that matter, and reduction levers, on an owner-facing angle.
Source7 Partnership Article — LIVE
- Source7 partnership announcement article published at
https://lula.life/articles/source7-foresight-integration. The partner-supportive piece for Source7 (the appliance-data company integrated into Lula) went live alongside Source7's PR Newswire press release. Scoped on the 2026-05-22 call as a light, partner-supportive article on the predictive-maintenance and repair-versus-replace decision angle, dropping into the preventive-maintenance cluster and reinforcing the data-volume story (200,000+ work orders). Strengthens the Foresight narrative through the Source7 integration and gives Lula a citable asset on the partnership.
AI Property Management Software Article — Drafted, Ready for Editing (Competitive Response)
- Comparison article Best AI Property Management Software in 2026 drafted; ready for editing, not yet live (slug
/article/ai-property-management-software, target keywordai property management software). Nate flagged a competitor's sudden organic increase on 2026-06-02, traced to their ranking page on AI tools for property management. The work analyzed that page and the AEO visibility on the query, confirmed Lula already had a competing asset, and built a sharper version. The article ranks Lula first for AI maintenance coordination (LuMi handling intake to resolution, Foresight for in-house teams), frames the "automate your costliest workflow first" buying thesis, and is built for both search and answer-engine pickup with a direct-answer opening, a comparison table, and a topic-anchored FAQ. Anchored to Lula proof points (9,000+ Pros, 50+ markets, 350,000+ properties, 125,000+ work orders in 2025) and 2025 industry data. In editing before publish.
PM-Partner PDF Backlink Program
- Owner-facing PDF drafted and designed. The brand-neutral 5-page research brief is written and laid out (cover, what a managed make-ready is, the owner-facing case, the wealth angle, and a five-question checklist owners can use on any manager). Sourcing was resolved cleanly: the 2025 US median single-family rent is cited from the Rentometer 2025 Annual SFR Report, the portfolio-wealth math is presented as illustrative on the owner's own numbers, and a planned third-party citation was dropped after the latest edition turned out to carry no make-ready data. Pending Nate review for owner-audience tone and factual check.
- Prospect list extended to 87 verified property managers. Two more PMS-vendor ecosystems (Yardi, Propertyware) were added to the earlier four, taking the sourcing pool to six. After individual verification, the master tracker holds 87 confirmed US property-management companies: 18 with explicit make-ready language (pitch first) and 69 confirmed without. Referring-domain mining has reached diminishing returns, so the final stretch to 100 will come from vendor case-study pages and the NARPM member directory.
In Flight
- LuMi launch: positioning is signed off; remaining gates are the launch-window go/no-go, the customer-name permissions, and the handle-rate confirmation.
- LuMi hub build at
/maintenance-intelligence: on Nate's go-ahead. /servicesconsolidation: Nate review, then the 301 mapping for/coreand/core-boost.- Make-Ready Spoke 4: finalize edits and publish. Remaining order: Spoke 6 (Reduce Days Vacant), 2 (Cost), 3 (Timeline), then 5 (Technician).
- PM-partner PDF: Nate review, source the final ~13 prospects, hosting URL slug, and the Nate-voiced outreach email draft.
- 17 city-page rollout: pending the Lula team filling the team-side columns on the data spreadsheet, then template-generating the remaining city pages from the approved Atlanta template.
- Foresight-light product positioning: wedge-stack confirmation with Nate and the pricing-model decision.
Measurement Highlights
Organic Rankings (Ahrefs Rank Tracker, Week Over Week 2026-05-29 to 2026-06-05)
The maintenance-software listicle recovery is the headline. The 2026-06-03 surgical edit landed quickly.
Organic movers up:
property maintenance system14 to 6 on the listicle. Volume 90.make ready service7 to 3 on the make-ready hub. Volume 40.apartment make ready services near me14 to 13 on/make-ready-service. Volume 150.
New AI Overview citations (cited inside Google's AI Overview, not an organic blue-link position):
property maintenance software programs(volume 150) andproperty maintenance work order software(volume 80), both on the listicle.make ready services near me(volume 100) on/make-ready-service.
These are answer-engine wins: Lula is now pulled into the Google AI Overview on these queries. The organic blue-link position on these terms is lower and not in the visible top results, so Lula does not yet appear in the standard organic listing for them. They are tracked as AI Overview citations, not rank gains. This is a real distinction worth keeping clean in the reporting, because the rank tracker records an AI Overview citation as "position 1" even when the organic listing sits well down the page.
Organic movers down (watching):
rental walkthrough checklist pdf11 to 13 on/articles/rental-inspection-checklist. Volume 250.property maintenance app27 to 32 on the listicle. Volume 150.property management maintenance app12 to 13 on the listicle. Volume 150.
The make-ready hub strengthened organically (make ready service to position 3), which lines up with the movement Nate noticed on make-ready terms after the new page copy. The listicle gained organically on property maintenance system and picked up AI Overview citations on its head terms. The referring-domain baseline for the partner-backlink program still holds at 833 live domains, with link equity concentrated on legacy consumer pages rather than the 4-play target pages, which is the asymmetry the PM-partner program is built to fix.

With LuMi positioning now signed off, the remaining launch gates are the customer-name permissions (the Brandywine, Truehold, and Bridge references) and the handle-rate confirmation, plus the go/no-go on the launch window. Those are the items standing between the current LuMi assets and publish.
Next Week's Priorities
- LuMi launch unblock. With positioning now signed off, pin down the customer-name permissions and the handle-rate figure with Nate so the announcement article and the
/lumipage can ship. - Build the LuMi hub at
/maintenance-intelligenceon Nate's go-ahead. /servicesconsolidation: Nate review, then the 301 mapping for/coreand/core-boost.- Ship Make-Ready Spoke 4 (vs Apartment Turnover).
- PM-partner PDF to Nate and source the final prospects to clear 100.
- Wedge-stack confirmation and pricing model for the Foresight-light product positioning.
Blockers Trend (Week-Over-Week vs 2026-05-29)

LuMi positioning sign-off cleared this week, removing the longest-pending item in the program. The remaining material blockers continue to age without movement; customer-name permissions and the handle-rate confirmation are now the active gates on the LuMi launch sequence.
